Often, Memorial Day signals the unofficial start of summer, and is celebrated with barbecues and picnics that mark the embrace of the new season.
However, beneath these lighthearted festivities, lies a deeper spirit of remembrance of those who have died in service to the nation.
Remembering and honoring the lives of those who fought and died for this country ...
I dream of a world where there is no war.
A world in which humanity fully awakens to overcome the addiction to justifying wars based on differences in beliefs.
A world where lasting peace prevails ...
And yet, my heart goes out to all of the families, who are mourning their loved ones lost in wars, battles and service. Remembering the extraordinary individuals who, out of a sense of love and duty, were willing to pay the ultimate price ...
Their depth of courage, pride, and honor is truly humbling.
And so this Memorial Day ...
I wanted to share with you this short prayer I came across ... Along with a collection of remembrance quotes for your reflection.
Through our shared human lineage and global collective consciousness, the repercussions of war touch us all.
Let's use this day to acknowledge our shared burden and channel our loving energy towards fostering peace, unity, and collective healing for all.
